আগামীকাল ৬ মার্চ শুক্রবার রাজধানীর মোহাম্মদপুর এলাকায় অবস্থিত সেন্ট যোসেফ হায়ার সেকেন্ডারি স্কুলে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে দিনব্যাপী জাতীয় গণিত উৎসব ২০১৫ ও ত্রয়োদশ বাংলাদেশ গণিত অলিম্পিয়াড। ডাচ্-বাংলা ব্যাংক লিমিটেডের পৃষ্ঠপোষকতায় এবং প্রথম আলোর ব্যবস্থাপনায় বাংলাদেশ গণিত অলিম্পিয়াড কমিটি উৎসবের আয়োজন করেছে।
২০১৫ এর জুলাই মাসে থাইল্যান্ডে ৫৬তম আন্তর্জাতিক গণিত অলিম্পিয়াডের জন্য বাংলাদেশ গণিত দলের সদস্যদের নির্বাচনের লক্ষ্যে এ বছর সারা দেশের ২৪টি জেলা শহরে আঞ্চলিক গণিত উৎসব অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এই ২৪টি আঞ্চলিক গণিত উৎসবের ১ হাজার ২৮১ জন বিজয়ী অংশ নেবে জাতীয় উৎসবে।
আয়োজক কমিটি সকাল আটটায় আঞ্চলিক গণিত উৎসবের সব বিজয়ীকে সনদ ও লাল রঙের টি-শার্ট পরে উৎসব প্রাঙ্গণে উপস্থিত থাকার জন্য অনুরোধ করেছে।
সবাইকে উৎসব প্রাঙ্গণে এসে নিজ অঞ্চলের বুথ থেকে নিবন্ধন সম্পন্ন করবে। এবারের জাতীয় গণিত উৎসব শুরু হবে সকাল আটটা ৪৫ মিনিটে।
আয়োজকদের পুরস্কৃত করা ছাড়াও অনুষ্ঠানে থাকবে ২০১৪ সালের সেরা গণিত ক্লাবের পুরস্কার প্রদান এবং আজীবন সম্মাননা। বিকেল চারটায় সমাপনী ও পুরস্কার বিতরণীর মাধ্যমে শেষ হবে এবারের গণিত উৎসব।
