ভূমধ্যসাগর পাড়ি দিয়ে ইউরোপে ঢোকার চেষ্টারত হাজার হাজার অভিবাসীর সঙ্কট মোকাবেলায়, আলোচনায় বসছেন ইউরোপের বিভিন্ন দেশের স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীরা। এই অভিবাসীদের ইউরোপের ২৮টি রাষ্ট্রের মধ্যে ভাগ করে নেয়ার বিষয়টিই লুক্সেমবার্গে মঙ্গলবারের এই বৈঠকে প্রধান ইস্যু হয়ে উঠতে যাচ্ছে।
দেশগুলো জানাচ্ছে, অভিবাসী সংকটের ফলে ইতালি, গ্রীস এবং মাল্টার সম্পদের ওপর বিশাল চাপ পড়েছে। কোনও কোনও দেশ অবশ্য বলছে, অভিবাসন প্রত্যাশীরা যেতে চায় না এমন দেশে যেতে বাধ্য করা উচিত হবে না।
